Eric Dudley - Rector at Christ Church
With over three decades of service in pastoral leadership, ministry, and community engagement, Tallahassee, Florida, resident Eric Dudley is a clergyman and church leader who has served as rector of Christ Church since March 2020. An ordained priest in the Anglican tradition, Eric Dudley also has experience serving large parishes.
Mr. Dudley began his journey in 1989 as an associate rector at Christ Episcopal Church in Greenville, South Carolina. In 1995, served as rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tallahassee, Florida, where he led for a decade. During this period, he also served as dean of St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral. Mr. Dudley helped grow membership from 750 to over 2,300 and increased the budget from $300,000 to $3.5 million. He also oversaw the purchase of land and the construction of an $18 million cathedral.
In his current role, Mr. Dudley oversees staff, volunteers, finances, and strategic planning while leading worship and outreach initiatives. He also oversees the finance committee and vestry. Furthermore, he leads weekly worship, preaches, teaches, and provides pastoral care within the parish. He also directs and provides leadership for the parish’s community outreach programs.
